Question of Sevens

Ever notice how a wizard never seems to lose his hat? Explain that one, if you can …

Question of Sevens

“No harm ever came from reading a book …”

Or.. did it? Outside of that shining example, what harm could come of reading a book?

LFP: Doomsday Dawn (PF2Playtest, Pathfinder)

In 4651 ar, a Chelish scholar named Imivus became fascinated by the history of Ancient Osirion, a fascination that swiftly grew to an obsession after Osirion’s government denied him permission to mount an expedition into the desert sands. Frustrated and with wounded pride, Imivus organized several secret, illegal expeditions, but he vanished in 4657 ar during his 11th such journey—an expedition that sought the Veinstone Pyramid of the Four Pharaohs of Ascension. Imivus hoped that discovering the rumored pyramid would establish a firm connection between Ancient Osirion and influence from an alien presence from the Dark Tapestry beyond the stars. In particular, Imivus was chasing the legend of a long-lost book called The Last Theorem—a book that he believed would answer all of his questions.

Welcome, fellow Portalites, to the End of the World…
This game is intended to run through the playtest scenario for Pathfinder 2; and as such, follows some pretty firm creation rules. Those of you who have not done so should probably go over to paizo.com and download the rulebook for the playtest.
There probably will be discussion of this thing in the Portal Discord; I can but encourage people to drop in and check that out.

Interested parties should definitely look at the full writeup for all the necessary information; and talk to Sylverthorne if there are questions.

Okay. Combat. Read on past the cut, folks!

Question of Sevens

A strange evil comes with the fog, so it’s said. Doors are closed, windows are shuttered and no one goes outside when even the faintest haze is visible…

GM’s Tip of the Week

Character creation is one of the fun things about being a player; you get to imagine being somebody else for a while; think up a whole personality, history and extended family. Some players don’t go quite that far, but I know a number of them that do, and really enjoy the process.
For a GM, who is running a whole menagerie of characters, many of whom are as far from human as one can easily get, it can be a serious project just to create a small town. And then you have encounters, and … whoo. Notebooks, just full of NPCS!

Question of Sevens

It’s not the oddest thing about the whole arrangement, but the specific type of wine – and it has to be that specific type and vintner – has been consistent, no matter what else they’ve asked for..

Question of Sevens

It is once again time for the world-wide – galaxy-wide?! – festival of brews! With all comers welcome to showcase their best ale, mead, wine, applejack, brandy … whatever, if it’s fermented, it can be entered! – the only question is… why is there a pair of boots in the barrel?

Kickstarters of Note

Hello, fellow Portalites! I’m back again with a bunch of Kickstarters you all might find interesting!
We have some map-generation tools, descriptive aids; useful for GMs, players /and/ budding authors, and some terrain that might be useful to the gamers amongst us who are lucky enough to have local groups they play with.
