Good news, everyone!

Hello, fellow Portalites!

The search for a new hosting provider has finally borne fruit, we’ve found a suitable host, with Andi-approved hosting services. As you are all aware, this is not a minor expense, so any help you all can give us in paying for server rent and all – we’ll get you an itemized list below – would be a big help.

As you already know, we have set up Patreon (monthly, like a subscription), Paypal, and Ko-fi for you, and you can use any of those you like, if you can afford to.

If you can’t spare the shekels, don’t. Helping pay Portal overheads is a big help to us, but we don’t want anyone to put themselves on the street to do it.

Whether you can donate a little or not, we appreciate it, and we thank you.

We’ve been asked about other ways people can help; and here are some ways you can pitch in that don’t require a dent in the pocketbook.

Bring your friends! We’re a little dated, sure, but we’re always happy to help new players learn games, and learn how to play and run them on the Portal.

Check out the promotional materials we have to offer, maybe print some of them out and hand them out at your FLGS (and if they have a website, tell us who they are so we can add them to our link page).

Going to a convention this year? Take a stack of bookmarks or business cards with you and hand them out.

Spend a lot of time hanging out with folks like Critical Role? Invite ’em over to the Portal.

Add a link to your forum signature, if the forum allows (ask one of the moderators first; some forums have rules about not linking other boards; if they let you do that,  tell us who they are so we can link back to them).

Have any suggestions? Lay ’em on us; our collective inboxes are open, as is the comments section and the forums. New ideas are welcome always; even if they’re not practical now, they might be later on!
